Living With a Sense of Eternity

 Introduction: Rom 12:2 Tonight I would like to discuss how we can transform our lives by living with a sense of eternity.

 I.                    What is your life?

A.        Life is a vapor: James 4: 13-17

B.         Outward man perishing: 2 Cor. 4:16

C.         Appointment with death: Heb 9:27

D.        Make me to know my end: Psalm 39: 4-6; 90:12

 II.                  If I’m living with a sense of eternity I will:

A.      Take care of my sin:

                1. Put off these things: Col 3:5-6; 8-9; Eph 4:17-23

                2. We may not sin: 1 John 2:1-2; 1:9

                3. Repent and Pray: Acts 8:22

                4. We feel the separation: Isa. 59:1-2

B.   Restore broken relationships:

        1.   Angry without a cause: Matt 5:22-24

2.   Loves God but hates his brother: 1 John 4:20-21

3.   Prodigal Son: Luke 16

C.    Set my mind on Spiritual things:

          1.  Set your mind on things above: Col 3:2

          2.  Carnal and Spiritual minds: Rom 8:5

   D.    Put away the weights:

             1.  Lay Aside Every Weight: Heb 12:1

             2.  Count all things loss:

    E.   Get others ready:

             1.  Great Commission: Matt 28:18-20

             2.  The Fire of Jeremiah: Jer. 20:7-9

F.   Be prepared:

             1.  Foolish and Wise Virgins: Matt 25: 1-13

             2.  Set your house in order: 2 Kings 20:1

             3.  What person ought you to be: 2 Pet 3: 10-12; 14

 

Conclusion:  Let us always live with a sense of eternity. Let us ensure we are prepared for the judgment day.
